Well the next thing I knew, Daddy was ill in hospital somewhere and Mummy and "Uncle" Al were off visiting him every day. I had my Proxy GrandParents (PGPs) to continue my adventure with though...
See, they fed me and everything! This is Heather, Roger & Sue. Terry took the photo.
They took me to Roger's Giant Carrot - I'm told that Roger is completely responsible for it being there to mark the carrot-growing area of NZ... Well anyway, Roger is a very good story reader which is what really mattered.
The PGPs also took me to the top of a real steaming, smoking volcano... I bet they only told my mum about that one when they got me back safe and sound!

The other guy's birthday
Very strange, Dario (same name just in Italian) has his birthday the day after mine (and he's a year older). We went to his birthday party with Thomas the Tank Engine and his mates... We all had a ball!
We had food and everything!
Happy birthday Dario and his brother Danny!!

Happy birthday to me!
I had to sit down and have something to eat and observe a bit...
Jessie baked the most wonderful cake for us to eat, and I even got to blow out the candle (sort of - it was a bit windy!)
She made sure I ate some of the cake as well....
Lots of the family were there - 'Aunty' Lorraine and Uncle Eddy
And, amongst the others, 'Aunty' Rhonda, Daniel and his mummy and daddy.
All in all I had a wonderful time!

Shoesies
Dressing up is great fun. Mummy's sandals are just a little big but I persevered!
I could even walk - tadah!

Gone fishing
I definitely wasn't left out. I was careful to watch what Mummy was doing!
I could hardly move, but I was warm...
The cottage we stayed at had the most amazing cubby house. It even has a bay window and a slippery-dip!
The alpacas were very friendly!
We even got in a bit of fishing - Mummy's first go at fly fishing!
