Hey - Something's Missing!

Tuesday 23 October 2007: Hey - that black thing on my belly button just disappeared today. Look at my lovely new clean belly button!
My Mum found the black bit in the bottom of my crib when she changed my nappy. I thought there was something uncomfortable there!

I got weighed by the nurses today, and measured 990g... Heading up towards a kilo. My tummy is still very bloated, partly from my breathing assistance C-PAP machine which puts air into my tummy as well as my lungs.

My Mum gave me a nice comforting cuddle in the crib.

My Dad did a wonderful drawing of me today too.

Monday is Cuddle Day!

On Monday 22 October, the nice nurses took me out of my box so I could have a really big cuddle with my Dad - YUM!

His beard was a bit scary at first, but I got used to it.

It was so peaceful in the low light that I fell asleep. Daddy almost managed to stay awake...
After that I went back into my box for another snooze... zzzzz

Snoozie Sunday

Well there I was, sleeping peacefully when Mum & Dad came and visited.

I had to check them out! I had a bit of a rest from my C-PAP breathing help for a while today too - about an hour before I got too tired.

I had a good wiggle of my toes!

Saturday - I Just Wanna Hold Your Hand...

So, Saturday was a sleepy kind of day.

I don't mind holding Mummy's hand while I'm snoozing...

Hey, that skateboard needs some wheels!

Dad came and drew a really nice picture of me.

Thursday, and there's a pretty good looking skateboard strapped to my arm - if only it had some wheels and I could have a bit of fun around the hospital nursery when nobody's watching (which is never...) !
I held onto Dad's hand...

Don't worry, that safety pin is only in the skateboard thing to stop me from waving it at everyone too much.

Wednesday 17 Oct - My 3 Week-aversary!

I'm so good at digesting Mum's milk now that they've taken the line out of my arm. I used to get some food down that, but now I don't need it.
Things are looking tidier around this crib!

A Few Favourites

I thought I'd just put up a few of the choicest photos of our (as yet unamed) baby onto the blog prior to being able to work out what happened to the rest of the story... Gotta love technology!

This one is really for the 18th birthday isn't it!

Baby Blog Disappeared...

We know that all our baby pictures have somehow disappeared from the blog... We have posted a question in the Blog Help section and hope to be able to get them back. In the meantime, here are a few updated photos from the past couple of days to keep you all going!

On Monday 15 October, Mum & Dad arrived just as I was having a little rest from my C-PAP breathing help, and I even had my hat off. I woke up and had bit of a look at them both...

On Tuesday October 16 the nurses gave me a bit of an exercise workout to get my digestion flowing things through properly and left me in a nice comfy position so I could hopefully eat and still have room inside to breathe as well.

My tummy is a bit full of air from the C-PAP, and that pushes my diaphragm up, stopping me from breathing properly.

I'm now on 6ml of breast milk each hour - full feeds finally.

On Wed they took the line out of my left arm since I don't need any more food directly into my blood now. Much more comfy!
